At Éigse CIM, Your Contributions Keep Our Community Music School Humming

Your generous contributions to Éigse CIM’s Fund-A-Need Initiative have made it possible to manage more than a decade of astonishing growth, giving a hand up to nearly a thousand students through family discounts, scholarships and financial aid that make lessons, ensemble classes, and hard-to-find instruments accessible to students of all ages and abilities.

In 2018, your support can help CIM keep up the tempo with fresh new classes and outreach programs, a fantastic new common repertoire, and a few long-awaited operational improvements that will keep our community music school humming along as we hand down the tradition. Here’s how:

  • $10 puts a hard-to-find traditional instrument in the hands of a new student
  • $50 teaches young families how to foster a love of music in Celtic Cuties
  • $100 helps us host the new Young Learners Session, a free Saturday drop-in class that teaches young players how to be part of the tradition
  • $150 supports a student scholarship at Harvest Home, a learning weekend with the legendary Liz Carroll and Billy McComiskey
  • $300 covers the cost of recording and producing one of the new trad tunes CIM is about to add to our Common Repertoire
  • $500 supports a year-long scholarship for one of our hard-charging, hard-working 20-something young adult musicians, the future leaders of our music community
  • $750 covers fun and festive student performances at IMDA’s Day of the Dance and the Irish Fair of Minnesota
  • $1,000 brings CIM’s 22 instructors together to collaborate and curate CIM’s 2018 Common Repertoire, the online learning tool accessed by thousands of students every year
  • $2,000 sends a CIM team to support our largest-ever contingent of student players this spring at the Midwest Fleadh
  • $5000 covers the cost of implementing CIM’s smart new registration software, a time-saving system that will allow us to put less time into administration, and more into the music!
