Support the CIM as we forge connections with the next generation of musicians at the All-Ireland Fleadh 2018!

Center for Irish Music students played their hearts out at the Midwest Fleadh Cheoil in St. Louis in May, earning first and second place honors in all three of the highly competitive group competitions, while bringing home an astonishing 53 medals from dozens of categories.

Now with many CIM youth musicians and their families on their way to the All-Ireland Fleadh in Drogheda, Ireland the CIM’s Board of Directors is committed to sending CIM instructor, Brian Miller to be their leader as they represent Minnesota at this renowned international music competition in August 2018.

Celebrated guitarist, singer, and researcher Brian Miller is the director of the U18 Ceili Band, an award-winning CIM ensemble that has been crowned as the Nick Coleman Ceili Band, named after their biggest fan who passed away unexpectedly the week after the Midwest Fleadh.

We’re thrilled to represent Minnesota together as a community music school we need your support to make this a reality.

HELP US REACH OUR $7,500 GOAL!

Our goal is to raise $7500 by July 15th to support the cost of sending Brian Miller to Drogheda as CIM’s leader, and for student scholarships to the Scoil Éigse, an immersive four-day workshop in traditional Irish music taught by world-class Irish instructors.

The first $1700 will be matched dollar for dollar thanks to Irish On Grand, Mike & Gloria Lynch, Friends of CIM, and some of the students themselves who raised over $200 performing in front of Maeve & Liam’s store on Grand Old Day.
