Jamie Gans with Dáithí Sproule at the Celtic Junction
Jamie Gans has spent much of his life following the elusive tune. As a graduate of Macalester College he was a member of Mac’s college pipe band but soon after shifted his musical devotion to the fiddle. In the late ‘70’s from the inspiration of several Irish traditional musicians, including Martin McHugh, Jamie became one of the founding members of the Twin Cities’ Plough and Stars Céilí Band, which then changed their name to The Northern Star Céilí Band.
